Traverse City Track Club Summer Series
Since 1962, the club's original program has grown and evolved to meet the needs of runners of all abilities and paces. Summer Series allows you to run a variety of unique events with an official finish time. Every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. from June 19 through August 21. Events vary from a simple 3 mile run, a few handicap runs (faster runners start last), a prediction run (no watches!), and even a relay!
When? Wednesday evenings from June 19 - August 21, 2024. Start time at 6:30 p.m.
Where? Location changes each week, however most events start at the Traverse City Central High School.
What Distances? Anywhere from 2.5 to 6.2 miles.
Cost? FREE for TCTC members.
Where do I register? You can register here. You only need to register one time per summer.
How many events are there? We have 10 available, but you can join us for any number!
Can I volunteer instead? You bet! It’s super easy and only a two-hour commitment. You can sign up to volunteer here.

Following are each week’s proposed events (All with a 6:30pm start time):
1. June 19, TC Central High, 3 mile flat
2. June 26, TC Central High, 5K hilly
3. July 3, TC Central High, 4 mile prediction run (leave your watch at home!)
4. July 10, TC Central High, 4 mile handicap run
5. July 17, 5K cross country: (TBD)
6. July 24, TC Central High, track 5K age-graded (12 ½ laps)
7. July 31, TC Central High, 6 mile handicap
8. August 7, 5K on Trails - Timber Ridge
9. August 14, TC Central High, 8 x 1k alternating relay combined handicaps
10. August 21, Hull Park, 4 mile; Boardman Lake Loop, followed by awards in Hull Park
