The Port City Run offers a 5K race, 5K walk and a 1 Mile Family Fun Run. This event is held in the City of Frankfort which is located in Northwest Michigan on the Western Shore of Lake Michigan. All three of the events follow the Betsie Valley Trail along the shoreline of Betsie Bay. The course heads south out of Frankfort toward the village of Elberta before bending back around and returning to the finish in Frankfort. For young runners the free 1 Mile Family Fun Run is a great way for the little ones to stretch their legs and to be a part of the race. For those adults who would like to participate but aren't interested in racing, the Port City Walk is the perfect option. The non-timed 5K walk follows the same course as the race and provides a great way to start off the day. Funds raised from the event will help support the Frankfort-Elberta Area Varsity Cross Country, Football and Track programs.
